Every year we look for an organization or charity we
feel is most spiritually connected with Tessa's vision of serving humanity. We are very pleased to announce
that this year's proceeds will be going to the Anita Salas Memorial Fund.
The Anita Salas Memorial Fund provides financial assistance for breast and cervical cancer
services incurred by New Mexican women screened by the Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program or part of special
grants or projects approved by the Board.
About the Fund
The "Drive for Life"
Fund was created in 1996. Since then, more than 700 women have received valuable assistance from the Fund. They have
received diagnostic mammograms, ultrasounds, breast biopsies and mastectomies. Women who live in remote rural areas have received
funding to travel to Albuquerque or Santa Fe for radiation and chemotherapy. Because donations are limited, physicians and
clinics throughout the state have helped by reducing their fees so that more women can benefit from this Fund. 100%
of funds raised stay in New Mexico; approximately 90% is used for direct breast and cervical cancer services. For more information

PRIZES AND SPONSORS
Thanks to our dedicated
sponsors, there will be lots of great prizes and awards this year. We greatly appreciate the donations made by our local
outdoor shops, especially during these hard economic times when small businesses are struggling to survive. The
spirit of community is always present with our local shops---please support them when you can. We would also like to
thank K2 Skis for sponsoring our event. We approached K2 this year for the first time and they jumped on board
immediately! K2 has been involved with breast cancer research for many years and their efforts reach

PRIZES: Everybody will be eligible for a prize due to the raffles, including a pair of
skis! Prizes will also be awarded for the top finishers in the different age and gender groups. K2 is
donating two pairs of skis this year! Sport Systems in Albuquerque is also donating a pair of skis. Helmets, goggles,
and lots of other equipment are being donated by local outdoor shops.
FOOD AND REFRESHMENTS:
There will be food and refreshments provided by the Zia Diner, Santa Fe Baking Company, Ski
Santa Fe Cafeteria, and the Cowgirl Bar and Grill.
